We have coordinated three different opportunities for our church to practically show their love for this community during our series, I Love Charlotte. The following is a list of the different ways that we will be serving our community during the month of August:
August 14 – Habitat for Humanity ReStore
We are partnering with ReStore, a branch of Habitat for Humanity. Our group will be volunteering all morning at their warehouse that collects donations to be sold. The money is then used to fund housing in our community for families in need.
August 21 – Elizabeth Traditional Elementary School
ETES is the central hub of activity for Center City Church. We have the privilege of meeting there on Sunday mornings. This is also the school that our kids attend. We will be doing anything and everything that they need during this day of service. Painting, cleaning, landscaping, etc.
August 28 – Renovatus Church
God has joined Center City and Renovatus Church at the heart. I deeply respect Pastor Jonathan Martin and the work he and his team are doing at Renovatus Church. They have recently moved in to a new facility on the west side of Charlotte. We will be investing a day of hard work to upgrade their facilities and unite with another ministry in town.
I was so blown away by the response on Sunday. We have had an incredible amount of people step up and offer their time and effort to show their love for our city. I love this group and I love Charlotte!
