Tomorrow is my last Sunday at Hope Church. This is a really bittersweet weekend for me. On one hand, I am incredibly excited to be realizing a dream that Dara and I have shared for over 5 years by planting Center City Church in Uptown Charlotte. On the other hand, I have built some incredible relationships and joined arms with great men and women of God to launch Hope Church.
I am spending the day at Caribou Coffee going over my message. Trying to find the words to say to a group of people that have meant so much to me is quite a task. The relationships that we have built with Pastor Mike, the leadership of Hope Church and the friends we have made along the way will continue, albeit in a different capacity.
I am grateful for the time that I have had at Hope Church and pray that our investment there has brought life along the way and continues to produce life far after we are gone. I’m also grateful for the vision that God has put in my heart for the future of Center City and our new journey in Uptown.
Such a bittersweet weekend.
You guys are going to be awesome. I have never met such a wonderful family. You and your wife have made such a difference in my life. I am so proud and blessed to have friends like you two and always the little ones. Thank you for everything and I will see you guys soon. Jayme
Thanks, Jayme. I'm really grateful that I got that job at Caribou and Dara and I were able to get to know you and your little munchkin (he's SO CUTE). Hope to see you soon!!!
Bittersweet for us too!!
